WAAAAA i accidentally pull out my cable and my tablet went black. lucky blogger got autosave function!

WAAAAA scare me. wrote an entry for like almost 2 hours, accidentally press enter too many times and i tot the whole post was gone. scare me.

waaa i write one entry so much stuff happen.

arlo!!!
haha a fulfilling thurs and friday for me definitely. yupps simply FULL and FILLING.

thurs

met up with cindi dearie for lunch at bugis! yupps i took a train ride from raffles place to bugis so that i can have lunch with my babe. guess i will do that on monday too =) simply missed my babe! threw her a big fat hug once i saw her standing outside the gates of the bugis station...
we had nice tasty pipping hot pasta from pasta mania =)

then, for dinner, met up with sk cuz its our special day... planned to go to shoduko pasta at first, but since i had pasta already, we decided to change to somewhere else... after a lot of thinking and hesitating, we went to the the manhatten fish market, plaza singapura...

a very tired sk.

yummy mushroom soup ($4.90 with a drink), full of tiny mushroom bits. perfect for people who prefer a lighter version, and not those thick and creamy ones.

sk's cod fish and chips, $12.90. The priciest fishy option for fish and chips. Dory is only $9.90.
don't really like it... the batter is crispy and nice, but the fish is hard and tough. perhaps that is how cod fish should be? next time, i would choose dory. Heard that pacific dory is the best for fish and chips. =)

my grilled catch of the day ($12.90), which looks soooo much better. choice of fries or rice, sk chose fries for me. kinda regreted cuz the fries is just normal fries (what am i talking... but u get the idea la), and we got sick of eating so much fries.

the sauce is nice, but not the fish. perhaps its because i dont like the breed (or what do u call tt?)...? its a little powdery... not those wholesome, full, soft, tender and simply melts-in-your-mouth kind that i can get at ntu hall 14 canteen at $5. yupps, i'm totally in love with hall 14's grilled fish. ever since eating that, i have very high expectations of grilled fish, esp those from restaurants. if a school canteen can do it that well, why should i pay so much for yours?

at manhatten, they got this tv screen that shows a documentary on marine animals, mostly on what the marine animals hunt for. its so nice lo! all the creatures shown are like so unbelievable beautiful. confirm cant be seen in underwater world. so next time if u go manhatten, do ask for a sofa seat. then, u know where to lay your eyes on if your dining partner is not talking =P.

do pay with a UOB debit/credit card too, cuz you will get to enjoy a $10 return dining voucher with $30 minimium purchase. not bad ar? =)

friday

didnt meet eugene to go to work today... cuz i only need to reach office at 9.30am! woohoos! and haha i got to sit comfortably all the way to raffles place too. =)
but that is not the best part.

the best thing is, i'm going for a summer outing with the people from cambridge associates!!!
haha yupps the sweet people from CA invited me (a lowly temp!) to join them for their bi-annually outing. this time round, they have a food hunt/Singapore tour...
1st stop, the newly renovated tiong bahru market.

see this market so high class one, got escalator!!!

nice, big, spacious, clean.

famous tiong bahru jian bo chee kueh.

lemme tell you something. I LOVE CHAI POH!!! really i simply adore chai poh. so much that my grandma would fry bottles for me so that i can store them in my fridge and add them to whatever dish i like. and she would often check with my mum if my supplies of chai poh is running low. HAHA!
for this dish ar, i like their chai poh, its more crunchy that that of bedok chee kueh ( which is very famous too). However, their kueh is not as soft and smooth as that of bedok's...

then we had some char siew bao and red bean bao...

not to forget the famous pig organ soup stall that always have super long queues during lunchtime. nice nice! super unique... its not oily, not powdery. the soup is sweet and clear, with a pepper aroma that makes it a little like white bat kut teh. i like!

see how clear the soup is?

carrot cake from this stall.
simply oily! not bad la... think they fry their chai poh beforehand, hence its quite nice... but their kueh is not smooth and soft. For black carrot cake, I prefer the one at bedok blk 216. if you go there ar you can tell the uncle or auntie 'hanbing recommend one' and they will surely give you a bigger portion HAHA. i'm a regular there heh heh.

for white carrot cake, i like the stall in lavendar food square. super crispy! moses lim, the comedian/gourmet, likes that stall too!

well, we had other food too like chee chong fun, sharks meat lor mee and stuff... well, you may think that these food are not a big deal cuz they are so common... but then ar, like one third of the staff on my office are ang mohs who never eaten such food before/leaving Singapore soon... so i guess its a lil special for them ba...

next stop, telok blangah for the new wavy bridge.

interesting benches!

then, took a bus ride to go up up up to mount faber!

at the summit...
the merlion jr! so pitiful ... separated from its merlion daddy and merlioness mummy... one in sentosa, one in city hall, this one in mount faber..

yupps mount faber is nice for couples! nice scenary... so i took the chance to pose! asked my colleague to help me take those emo pictures using her SLR... those that focus on the me but blur everything behind... cant wait to see them haha!

well, until now i have wrote for stuff that is only from 10am to 12 noon. we got activities till 4.30, and right now i'm too tired to continue anymore! lemme post another time HAHA!
until then, have a good rest peeps! its the weekend!

then its off to orchard starbucks for a short meeting with some iic peeps... and again, a bit of shopping at orchard! got this pair of perfect shades that i've finding for so long at a perfect price from cotton on! yeah happy =)

me wearing the shades...

today

yupps went to work. the sweet consultant associates ( wilson was the chef) made waffles and i got one too!! with creamy choco chip vanilla ice cream, glazed with a bit of maple syrup and hersheys choco syrup. i think mine has two scoops of icecream while some others got one. HAHA!

see the honey stars on top?

6.05 pm, went to adelphi with bernice dearie and eugene to iic meeting.

after the meeting, went home with caiyun... we talked a lot... till midnight... and i felt a bit emotional on whats happening. too much unneccessary problems, too much headaches. hai...

oh wells, but there's nothing i can do.

yesterday

my sweet colleagues at CA treated me lunch at aji san today!

chose spicy cha shu ramen... kinda regret, cuz the chilli took away the real taste of the pork base soup. and it was pretty hot too... i didnt finish half of it... what a waste haha...

alexandra, with her crayfish ramen!

haha and guess what... I SAW PROF LEE HON SING in aji san! haha was looking at this smiley man who resembles the finance prof... he was with a group of young people, likely to be younger than me... i plucked up my courage, walked to him, and asked.. 'sir, are you prof lee hon sing?'

' yes, i am' with his signature smile!

waaaa.... =)

haha then i told my colleagues about how people in my classes idolise prof lee, how we enjoyed staring at the laptop screen looking at him dreamingly during his online lectures. HAHA i'm sure a lot of nbs girls will agree.

well,, back to office, the admin manager Judy asked me if i found any work. No. =(

'then you come on monday to help me lo.'

WOOHOOS i'm not officially jobless yet!!! so yupps, happy =) so paiseh, but its a false alarm for the people who treated me....

i found out something that made me quite moody for a while... was looking through receipts of previous months... and i found out that CA pays reccruit express $9 while i only receive $6.50 per hour. that is 28% of my pay to commission lo. hmmmm have to convince myself that i'm working for the EXPERIENCE and not for the $$$. oh well...

haha just in case i get a sudden job on monday, i took some photos with some of the CA peeps!! all of them are under 30... super young!

and here is the gorgeous Rac that i've been ranting about... super nice and friendly, super pretty, nice voice, super slim and everything! and superb eyeliner skills that made me sooo envy! and looks super young lo... mum estimated that she is at most 2 yrs older than me.. well, not really haha... guess i will miss her the most when i finally quit...

pretty ar? =)

today

dear rina accompanied me to shopping! haha yupps all geared for the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE! we went to vivo cuz they have the most shops... and shopped for 6 hours there. will update tml with photos, cuz i left my handphone in my grandma's place... =X

so yupps there will be a iic meeting at raffles place i think.... hmmm so sudden, only got news of it this afternoon. hope it will be a fruitful one =)

it may sound funny, but i'm really getting emo cuz tml is my last day of work at CA.

i really like it there! can u FEEL it???

hai, but yupps, last day means last day. to thank the people there for giving me such a wonderful work experience ( ya, and its the 1st time I'm working), i went to fairprice just now and bought 2 boxes of merci, one bag of toberlone (one of my favs!) and a box of honey stars =P. thinking of how to give them tomorrow...

working at CA is indeed amazing. I have heard so many unplesant stories from friends about work- backstabbing, bad intentions, bad bosses, silly arguments and the likes... which made me a lil afraid of going out to work. oh wells, i didnt see ANY of this in CA, the people there are just nice, nice, nice. (haha none of them got my bloggie add, so its okie to praise them to the sky here! =P)

haha what i wore to work this couple of days!

aiya i wanted to post some cute boats i saw in the singapore river... but i saved the pictures in the camera's internal memory and not on the memory stick... okie shall take pictures tml! super cute lo...

just some short updates... perhaps photos tml or on fri!

1. rejected from hall application. cut off for girls is 15 points, i only got 12. so means that the average girl needs to stay further than simei ( changi?) to get 8 points for distance, and also be in leadership positions (not small clubs wo! think events/small clubs' president only 5 points)... okie super pro. kowtow to u! haha really not trying to be sarcastic. pei fu pei fu... oh man!

and so if i really heng heng get a leadership position, it will be too late by then too!

hmmmm. suan le see how lo. pray hard a kind ntu mate got car and stays near me! or else its 4+++ hrs of transport daily for me. hmmm tahan. must tahan!!!

2. friday would be my last day of work at cambridge associates. love the people love the place love the work. oh wells... they dont need me anymore, and i was the one who initiated to end my stay on friday, cuz i thought there was a better opportunity for me. *slap my face! arrr... and furthermore i'm only working half days on thur and fri.... so yupps if anyone wants to ask me out for coffee in the city area, just sms me!

3. went to work with newfound friend eugene and went back home with sk today. super squeezy la the trains. i really pity the ppl who couldn't board the trains. imagine how anxious they would be at the thought of turning up late for work, and its not really their own fault. hai...

4. and had lunch with sk ytd, and with pengyan today... at market street. SUPER HOT!!! furthermore there was a short circuit while pengyan and I were eating. sweated like pigs lo.

5. ntu sakae sushi appeared in zaobao popcorn! haha looks pretty.

6. i feel like i'm digging out stuff to say.
7. so lemme end this nonsense now =)

haha yupps went suntec today... was supposed to turn up for venom's garang guni, but my sore throat and the super long distance to boon lay made me super relunctant to go... hope venom did well! =) and so sorry to sheng qiang... =X

well, as i was saying, went suntec. so long never really shop at suntec le... i went there for the IT fairs and SMIF, and that's all. and oh my suntec changed a lot!!!

part of the third level has become a hangout for young people.. something like level 1 in far east and heeren... but i guess business there isn't fantastic, as many shops are having closing down sales... so girls, you can go shop there! there are many pretty clothers going off at $10, $15, $20... sk was grumpy, hence i didnt buy again... =P

and we tasted one of the nicest waffles (with good service and pretty waitresses there!) quite value for money... $5.50 for a waffle with choice of fillings ( i chose hazelnut), and either a hot/cold beverage ( i chose strawberry mango ice blended juice). sk had a caramel cum brownie ice cream sundae, which is slightly pricer at $6.80.
we wanted to order the couple fondue at $14, but then i had a sore throat... in my humble opinion, choc hazelnut waffles isnt as heaty as a pot of chocolate... so yupps total crap i know =D
on the way back home after dinner at grandma's place, saw this super adorable kitten with a pink nose!!! its nose is soooo cute!!!
and its eyes are soooo big! oh man i wanted to carry it back home so much. cute cute! and its actions are sooooo princessy... waa so endearing!

haha thats all bbbb! i know its a boring post HAHA!
