okie lemme continue from where i stopped!

was saying that i joined my colleagues for their summer outing... and for lunch, we had delicacies at geylang!!

1st dish: yummylicious clams ( is it lala?) in SSS sauce-sweet spicy sour! this one i like! $12

next, boston lobster noodles, $60. they gave me one of the big claws to eat. aww so sweet! but too bad i personally think that the meat isnt as sweet! in fact it is tough, the "M" part of the claw is a lil disgusting cuz its super soft, and it just taste like crabmeat. hmmm. the noodles is those ban mian kind of noodles, so so-so too. sad ar so ex! or perhaps its because i dunno how to appreciate lo.

then we had fried chicken middle wings and penang fried kway tiao. wasnt much of a big deal, except that i think its expensive- 6 middle wings for $5.

up next: springy crab tung hoon! $28. this one nice. they use a thicker kind of tung hoon which is more elastic, and i can taste the sweetness of the crab in the tunghoon, unlike the lobster noodles. the crab is quite big too, hence i think its much fairly priced than the lobster noodles. 4 ppl share one crab tung hoon. wow =)

poor chang jin from 'jewel in the palace': reduced to big intestines now. big intestines of gold!

haha then we went for a ride along geylang red light district. guess what did we do there?

after the tropical food fest, went to changi chapel and museum. no photography allowed. i got quite emo after reading the details and the stuff left after the war. =(
then its off to the changi for the famous nasi lemak and goreng pisang! the more famous nasi lemak store have not opened for the day then (we reached at 3pm), so we bought from another stall, which is supposed to taste better. haha not bad, with huge JUICY wings from brazil!

following that, a stroll at changi boardwalk to burn off the calories. its a beautiful place! do bring your girlfriend/boyfriend there! i think the place is prettier in the day =)

okie the day ended for me, but the rest went for a cooking session at sunrise. so happy to join CA for the outing! fun =)
