Saturday, August 23, 2008 yesterday-
morning:
reached NTU at 6.30am, and slept in IIC room till 8.30am =P IIC room is quite comfy and cosy! then, took william's car to NUS High School for the OCBC Securities Stock Challenge 2008 booth! well, response wasnt as good as ACSI... And i saw two participants from Cashflow competition whom I facilitated! haha they signed up for OCBC too! well, they are final students (like JC2?) and hence they only have 2 days of lessons per week.. so they are super free!
and they remembered me! they said hi.. i found them familiar, and i saw that one of them was wearing the pink VAIO lanyard haha =) and they asked me why i organising so many events. ya lor why ar haha!
and had a fun time manning the booth with william! we were amused by the cheap cheap food in the canteen heh heh =)
night:
went to marina bay with sk...
to watch the Singapore Fireworks Festival!sk got tix from his friends..
the front part of the show was really boring. the djs from 913fm tried to hype up the atmosphere but they werent successful. quite lame in fact... like they were trying to get us to clap to the belly dancing tunes, and the dj actually shouted 'clap' 'clap''clap' in a bid to make us follow him. -_-
and worse still, they made us countdown to the fireworks when the performing group have not even evacuate. so we were waiting in anticipation as we shout ' 3 2 1!' and then we waited for 5 mins so that the tkss band can clear the stage and another 120 secs for the laser show and then finally for the fireworks.
oh man.
but nvm nvm, the 15 min fireworks display by France was simply STUNNING!
the first time i watched fireworks that pop to nice music. its really amazing! =)
had the urge to bring my iic peeps to watch the next show by Japan! too bad we need tickets... =(
sk brought his camera without a sd card, so i could only take pictures with my handphone...
if you are interestedm you can ask me for the 10 min video that i recorded! =)
going to ikea with the iic peeps tml!
i wanna get a hot pink sofa bed to sleep in iic room in between classes! =)
